Hi, I’m Pamela Sotir Beaudet. I love food. I love everything about it (well, except the calories- I don’t like those). I can unabashedly say that I have a flair for cooking and entertaining! People tell me that all the time.
I began cooking at a young age. Julia Child’s The French Chef was on PBS, and I was hooked. My mother let me stir the pots and I’d pretend to have my own cooking show. She made almost everything from scratch in an era when convenience foods had just emerged. She wouldn’t have dreamed of making mashed potatoes from a box.
When you’re brought up in the typical Mediterranean family, you learn that food is love. You put love into every meal. And your family shows you love in return with every “Mmmm…this is good!” Where’s the love in a box of potato buds?
I’m a self-taught cooking enthusiast with NO formal culinary training. I developed my talent through trial and error, and made plenty of errors along the way! My goal is to nurture the ‘trial’ so that you can avoid the errors!
I’m a certified life and business coach, so helping people to discover new things about themselves comes naturally to me. I’m also a busy mother, wife, and daughter. Like you, my time is limited so I’ve learned how to make ‘food fast’ without relying on ‘fast food.’
Now, I’m combining my love of coaching with my love of cooking- I guess I could call myself a “cooking coach.”
